Cookies and browser storage
Cookies, local storage and session storage are different ways for a website to remember information. The public CastU interface uses local and session storage for the preferences listed below, plus one short-lived cookie during a talent application. Storage entries are not automatically sent to a server with each page request, unlike cookies.
What this site remembers
The public interface uses the following browser storage entries and cookies:
- Theme preference (castu-theme): light, dark or system appearance. Stored locally until you or your browser clear it.
- My listing (castu-selection-v1): identifiers of the profiles you select. Stored locally until you clear your listing or the browser’s site data.
- Homepage introduction (castu-entrance-v1): remembers that the introduction has played. Stored for the current tab session.
- Application upload (castu-intake-…): a strictly necessary, HttpOnly cookie set when you submit a talent application. It lets your browser finish uploading your photos securely and expires after two hours.
- Security check (Cloudflare Turnstile): the application, contact and booking forms load a Cloudflare Turnstile challenge, which may set its own strictly necessary cookies to tell people from automated abuse. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
- Staff sign-in cookies: used only by CastU staff who sign in to the private workspace; they are not set for visitors.
- Analytics choice (castu-consent-v1): remembers whether you accepted or declined Google Analytics. Stored locally until you clear the site’s data.
- Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_…): set only after you accept analytics. See the Analytics section below.
Analytics and advertising
With your permission, this website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use it, for example which pages and talent categories are viewed. Nothing is set until you choose Accept in the analytics notice. If you accept, Google sets cookies beginning with _ga that identify your browser for up to two years and sends usage data, with IP anonymisation enabled, to Google under its own privacy policy. No advertising cookies are used.
Your choice is remembered in local storage (castu-consent-v1). To change it, clear this site’s data in your browser and the notice will appear again. Hosting and the services named in the Privacy policy may use their own strictly necessary technical storage.
Your controls
Change your appearance using the theme control in the navigation. Remove profiles or clear your selection from My listing. You can also delete this site’s stored data through your browser settings.
Blocking storage may prevent preferences and selections from being remembered between visits. The site can still be browsed.
When you leave this site
WhatsApp, your email provider and maps may use their own cookies or storage when you open them. Review their privacy and cookie information separately.
